A new kind of problem, 2015

I’ve been involved in self-publishing since 2005. I started off by helping a friend run an independent comics publisher. I started making my own DIY comics in 2008, which I sold mostly by walking around at arts festivals and putting up stands at all sorts of markets. 

In 2012 I ran the Cape Town Zine Project, where I spread the zine gospel, facillitating the printing of something like 50 zines at the weekly zine evenings. We even had two ‘zine market’ events where we contributors could sell their zines to the public, hosted by The Book Lounge.
